The Center's
professional staff will work with
teachers to develop individual
lessons or an entire unit, including
pre- and post-trip activities
to fit the needs and abilities
of the class.
Programs
can be designed to give special
populations exposure to the outdoors,
as well. In addition to custom
programs, the following topics
are available:
Archeology
0ne of the last Lenni-Lenape Indians
in central Bucks County lived
at Honey Hollow. An archaeological
dig of the 18th century cabin
site has been carried out with
the help of area schools and local
archaeologists. The program provides
a hands-on overview of the archaeological
process using a colonial pre-settlement
cabin site. It is available to
sixth graders and older students
only.
Assembly
Programs
Environmental films and nature
programs are available for school
assemblies and community groups.
Introductions and discussions
to these programs are provided
by our staff. Contact our educators
to schedule.
Birthday Parties
Summer
Camp
Day camp programs provide children
opportunities to discover the
natural world first-hand. Planned
nature activities are offered
by the staff for children with
an interest in the natural sciences.
Scout
and Youth Groups
Scout and youth groups come to
Honey Hollow for after-school
nature programs. The staff will
develop a program to enrich the
group's interest in the outdoors
or help to fulfill badge requirements.
The Center may also be used for
group or individual service projects.
