Welcome to Castles in the Fields, Bucks County Audubon’s Annual Premier Event. This year the event will take place at the magnificent Burgess Lea Organic Farm.

Barn Tour Lecture

Friday, July 11th  at 7:30 pm

Join barn expert Spencer Saunders a “barnologist”, for a lecture at the Honey Hollow Visitor’s Center. Spencer will focus on the importance of preservation and the adaptive reuse of barns so that these majestic structures will live on. He will speak about the barns local to our area and how these structures help to remind us of our agrarian past.

Ninth Annual

Barns of Distinction Tour

Saturday, July 12th 10 to 4 pm

This years self guided tour will explore new territory in the northern part of our county. These barns are located in Buckingham, Carversville, Pipersville and Perkasie each unique to their area. These barns were selected for their adaptive reuse, characteristics and the different architectural styles that were once used in Bucks County. A barn docent at each location will point out exceptional architectural details of each barn as well as relate the history of the families that owned and farmed the property.
